Local. Experienced. Better.

Experience Matters.
The founder of Bigfoot Locating has over 15 years of actual hands on experience doing real locates out in real life. That equates to over 45,000 hours of hands on time in the field doing actual utility locates. He Has been through training programs for 4 major Utility Locate Providers totaling over 250 hours of Classroom Training and even developed his own training program for a large Midwest Locate Provider and provided over 2500 hours of classroom instruction to new and experienced locators. Many of his competitors went through one of his training classes. From single family homes to large scale developments to complex and congested city blocks in some of Americas busiest cities to chasing miles of fiber down the highway in the country he has done it all.
Fancy Tools and Shiny Trucks Don’t Equal Success. Knowledge and Experience can’t be bought.
Underground Utility Locating is a skilled trade. It takes years of dedication and hard work to develop the skills to do it well. It is about more than just knowing how to turn on the equipment and spray some paint on the ground. There are many variable factors and nuances that allow someone to become a successful locator. Understanding the science behind the technology you are using and having an in depth grasp of the factors that can affect each and every locate differently is what sets us apart from the competition. A tool is only as good as brain connected to the hand holding it and we like to think we are some of the best . We take pride in our work. We understand that our industry is constantly evolving and changing but at the end of the day our most reliable tools and vehicles for success are our employees and their experience and knowledge.
